FAQ

Are you a Yoga Alliance Registered School?

Yes, Yoga Alchemy Registered Teacher Training is a Yoga Alliance Registered school, and complies with all current and ongoing enhancements set forth by YA. At the completion of training, you will be able to register with Yoga Alliance.

What is different about your program?

Yoga Alchemy isn't about just becoming a teacher. Our program aims to provide you a solid foundation for teaching, but also guides you to re-evaluate and ask WHY. Simple guidelines for yoga practice such as alignment are only the beginning of our understanding of asana practice. Using internal guidance, philosophy, energetic information, and the most current anatomy information is crucial to unlocking the depths of this path. We will provide you with the tools to continue learning, to continue to evolve pose-by-pose, moment-by-moment. Our belief is that this depth is what guides our graduates to be inspiring leaders.

Our program will give you the foundation to teach any level of class. While vinyasa is the focus, we'll guide you through making this practice inclusive, body positive, and accessible to a broader audience of students than most traditional vinyasa trainings.

What happens if I miss a day?

All contact hours must be completed for graduation. Inevitably, everyone will miss at least one day of training in the course of the six months. We take this on a case-by-case basis, in many cases make up sessions can be scheduled at an additional charge, or you can choose to attend the matching date during the next session to make up your contact hours. It is in your best interest to commit fully to these training sessions and become part of the energy of your new community, but we do understand when there are life occurrences outside of your control.

How much time is required for homework and other assignments outside of the scheduled training weekends?

Depending on the progression point in training, outside work can vary. Early on you should be engaging in at least 2-3 yoga classes per week, and in addition there will be about 1-2 hours of assignments to complete each week. These assignments range from mindfulness exercises, journaling, to practicing your teaching.,

Are books and classes included in the training?

No, the books we use in training are not included, but can be purchased on Amazon or any seller/reseller of texts. Classes outside of the training program are not included, and our program cost has been adjusted to reflect those additional costs to the student.
